Alstom Family & Sport Event 2013 Cancelled

 Dear Alstom Family,

The energy industry is changing as the political realignment of energy strategies of individual countries leads to investment uncertainty for our clients and they subsequently delay important infrastructure projects.

All technology suppliers - including Alstom - feel the current weakness of the economy and the energy market with reduced sales and orders.

Therefore, our CEO Patrick Kron, has asked all Alstom group companies worldwide, to suspend all non-core-business-related activities in order to reduce operating costs; unfortunately internal events are part of this corporate action plan.

For this reason we have to cancel our traditional Alstom Family- and Sport Event for this year. But we are confident that we can continue our tradition later on. We will inform you again after a thorough examination of the development at the end of our fiscal year (March 2014) and we look forward to celebrating the next party together soon.

Thank you for your understanding! Let us all together ensure with "Passion for Power" that we can celebrate again in 2014.

On behalf of the organising committee,

Kind regards

Roman Derungs
